Invicta Men’s 1792 Specialty 18k Gold Ion-Plated Watch Review

The Invicta 1792 Specialty Watch has a 48mm, 18k gold ion-plated, round, stainless steel case with a gold screw down crown and chain. It is covered by a flame fusion mineral crystal which is scratch resistant and anti-reflective.

The unidirectional bezel is black and marked with white Arabic numerals in a diver’s scale.

The dial is black with gold, partially skeletonized hands, gold outlined hour markers and 2 sub dials. The hours are marked with gold outlined Arabic numerals at the 12, 3, 6 and 9 o’clock positions. The rest of the hours are marked with gold outlined baton markers. There is a “day of the week” sub dial at the 9 o’clock position and a date sub dial at the 3 o’clock position.

The strap is black polyurethane secured with a gold buckle. The hands and hour markers are luminous and the Invicta 1792 Specialty watch is water resistant up to 100m or 330ft. This means that the watch is suitable for snorkeling and swimming but not for diving.

The Invicta 1792 Specialty watch uses a Japanese quartz movement.

This is a typical Invicta watch, stand out design with a big sized case and great functionality. The Invicta 1792 Specialty watch is eye catching even from a distance. The black of the dial and band show off the gold on the case and dial remarkably. Sturdy enough for everyday use, this watch is never the less a perfect timepiece for a special occasion or any social function.

The crispness of the numbers on the dial make the watch very easy to read. This would be the perfect watch for any person who may be visually impaired.

Some people find that a polyurethane band is a bit stiff and uncomfortable but this should not be too much of a problem after the watch is broken in a bit. If you purchase this watch and don’t care much for the polyurethane band, then you can easily replace it with any other kind of band or bracelet that best suits your style and taste.

Once again Invicta has given the world a noticeable watch with a design that pops. 48mm is a large case but it is by no means the largest case size made by Invicta. Their case sizes go as high as 52mm or more, to better display their amazing designs. One more winner from Invicta.
